I am gone again today, sorry! I am in the building giving an English test. Make sure you get a lot of work done today!!

1. Make sure you have turned in your PPT project (email & print); Staple your printed copy to your rubric and turn it in!
2. Typing Lesson 2 - Due on Thursday. Don't go further than 2 - I will give you a lot of time after Spring break.

How to Email

Open the Internet in the Mac side.
Go to the Grand Ledge home page (I search for glps in the search bar).
Click on the Parent/Student Resources (on the right).
Go down to Student Mail.
You might get a security warning. (Click: I understand the risks, add exception, confirm exception OR just click continue if that's an option)
Log in with your computer info
Click NEW
type in my email address (on your rubric)
Click Attachments
Click Choose File/Browse
Click StudentData (you might only see STU)
Student Data
Student Home
Keep going until you find your file
Click Open
ATTACH - You have to click this for it to attach to the message
Send!

1. Typing - Lesson 2 is due Thursday at the end of class. We won't have a lot of time on Thursday because of our test.
2. Project Time - Work on your project. Due Tuesday at the end of class. You need to EMAIL it to me (see your rubric) and PRINT a copy.

2. While VMware is starting, go to keyboardingonline.com (Use Firefox, it seems to work better)

• Click on "Keyboard Mastery" (the picture)
  
• Open "existing student file"
• Click on your hour
• Click on your name
• Log in to your name
• Password = glps
• Once you are logged in, go to user info. Change your password to something you'll remember (like your GLHS password)
• Then, click on Introduction. Read through the introduction!

LESSON 1 IS DUE FRIDAY AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS!!

3. We'll do Lab 1 on p136. The picture can be found online (just find something similar!).

1. Finish any activities from yesterday.
2. Do Lab 2 p71. This is not in my folder!
3. Do Cases/Places p78 or p79 - CHOOSE #1 OR #2.
4. Do revisions (the sub will hand back your papers). Remember: If you have a 5/10 you should revise your paper. If you have a 9/10 or 10/10, you don't need to fix it.

Print both of those - make sure your name is on it!

• Enable Right Click (System Preferences, Mouse & Keyboard, Change right button to secondary)
• Command Q vs red button to close
• Log on to VMware
• Creating new folders
• Creating shortcuts
• Checking for printers
• Start PowerPoint?
• Shut down VMware - click green Start button (lower left corner), Shut Down, Shut Down
  

How to log on to VMware:

• Start VM (Virtual Machine) -It is the red and blue interlocking squares in the middle of the dock.
• A Virtual Machine Library window will appear. Click on Open at the bottom of the window.
• Click on Macintosh HD
• Click on Users
• Click on Shared
• Click on Virtual Machine Library
• Click on Windows XP Professional
• At the Novell Login window, enter in your user name and password in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. Make sure the Workstation Only check box is unchecked.

Log on to VMware.
1. We'll review together. (Excel: creating formulas, putting a title on a chart, exploding part of chart, fit to 1 page, add grid lines; Word: insert spreadsheet & chart, copy with lines, margins; PPT: animations, transitions; Access: any questions?)
2. Did you finish your Access work? If not, you should do that. The Access practice activity is an assignment for points! See me if you need it.
3. Last assignment: Delete all of your files!! Show me for credit.

***Make sure you have shortcuts to WinWord, Excel, MSAccess and PowerPnt on your desktop.
